Ecological Consultancy Services Limited (EcoServe), Dublin

Workshop Homepage ]

BioCASE is a research project funded by the European Commission, EESD Programme.
Work started January 1, 2002; the official starting date of the project was November 1, 2001.
BioCASE is based on its predecessor BioCISE.

The BioCASE project will establish a web-based information service providing researchers with unified access to biological collections in Europe while leaving control of the information with the collection holders.

35 institutions from 30 European countries and Israel have become partners to accomplish this ambitious goal within three years. Details are given in the Project Description .

The majority of the partners will also be involved in developing National Nodes to gather and relay data on national collections. Ecological Consultancy Services Limited are acting as the national node for Ireland.

Results of the work in progress will be continuously made available as well as  Publications on BioCASE.

Preliminary access to the BioCASE network is available here.

Download questionnaire: If you are interested in participating in initial data collection, you can download a simple questionnaire in Microsoft Word (89 KB), pdf format (56 KB) or in Microsoft Excel (41 KB).
